The CarbSmart story summarizes the rationale behind the move many businesses are making to Las Vegas. "Interviewed recently in the midst of his move to Sparks, a city near Reno, company founder Andrew DiMino blamed success. CarbSmart warehouses and distributes dietary food products, and DiMino decided he could not afford the larger facility and additional employees necessitated by his firm's growth unless he left California.

'I love the weather [in California], the people and the diversity, but the cost of living, the cost of employment and the quality of employment you get for that dollar? We just get killed on everything now,' said DiMino, who fulfilled a lifelong dream by moving to California from Rochester, N.Y., four years ago." Source: San Bernardino County Sun
