Las Vegas Real Estate and Business News
Mar. 05, 2006 Coast-to-coast move leads buyer to Carlislefrom www.LasVegasNewspapers.comMark Roblee visited Las Vegas in search of a condominium home that would meet all of his requirements, most importantly, one that offered quick occupancy. Roblee was being transfered from his job in the telecommunications industry in North Carolina, but said he would not settle for "just any" condominium. "The places I looked at couldn't match that time frame, so I was looking at a much longer waiting period," Roblee said. Then he learned about Carlisle at Summerlin. The development fit Roblee's requirements for price and standard features. He was sold when informed he could move in within 30 days. "Because we build so many, we have condominiums and townhomes available," sales agent Bill Scala said. Six floor plans are available. "Which was a little overwhelming," Roblee said. "But I settled on one and I'm very happy." He selected a two-story unit with two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and an attached two-car garage. It offered 9-foot or vaulted ceilings; two-tone paint; a media niche; maple cabinetry; granite counter tops in the kitchen and baths; and ceramic-tile flooring in the kitchen, entry and baths. Also included were a washer, dryer, stainless-steel gas range and oven, dishwasher and refrigerator with ice maker. "Some of the other places I looked at offered the same features, but I would have had to pay extra for them. Here they came with the condominium," he said. Floor plans at the development range from a 768-square-foot unit with one bedroom and one bath to a 1,341-square-foot design with three bedroms and 2 1/2 baths. Prices start from the high $100,000s to the low $300,000s. A clubhouse is open exclusively for residents, and is equipped with a kitchen and bar; social area; TV/DVD; fireplace lounge; and fitness center with cardio and weight-training equipment, changing rooms and a dry sauna. Additionally, there is a swimming pool with a waterfall and rock island, and a spa. The development is located at 10250 N. Covington Cross Drive, near Town Center Drive and Summerlin Parkway. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
